GLOBAL COUNCIL arrange a Camps in Europe with more options and take place in the facilities of International Universities, Collages and Schools, the camps is an ideal place to relax and enjoy nature, to learn languages communicatively, to practice all types of sports, to make friends from different countries like UK, Ireland, Malta, Spain, Germany and France,
UK Camp
The beautiful location of Thornton College is a safe, self-contained and leafy campus that looks like an English fairy-tale / Harry Potter style school, but benefits from modern facilities and high-tech teaching rooms. The College is surrounded by forests and meadows whilst a river runs through the 25-acre estate. The classrooms feature cutting-edge technology. Classes, accommodation and dining hall are in close proximity. Oxford is famed for its Universities and ‘dreaming spires’, and students will take regular visits to this fantastic historical city. Thornton is ideally situated for trips to Shakespeare’s birthplace, Stratford Upon-Avon, as well as London, Cambridge and Royal Windsor. Facilities at Oxford-Thornton include an outdoor heated swimming pool (ideal for summer barbecues), a sports hall, theatre, library and computer room. There are grass and Astroturf football fields, tennis courts, an athletics track, cricket pitch and other sports fields. Students enjoy spacious common rooms and Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Three hot meals are provided daily, each meal providing a number of options including vegetarian. Packed lunch is provided for full-day excursions.
SPAIN Camp
The multicultural energy of Spain are enough reasons to choose it as the perfect setting for a different summer. If, in addition, you add the modern facilities of the prestigious Francisco de Vitoria University, it would be difficult to find a more well-rounded destination. Our campers love to have a great time doing sports on the tennis, paddle and basketball courts, soccer fields or in the pool, and they can even play beach volleyball. The atmosphere of an international university campus just 15 minutes from the Madrid city center combined with our enthusiastic staff create a really fun atmosphere where campers are encouraged to grow personally, to learn other languages, to interact with other cultures, and to explore the world around them, starting with Madrid. From the Madrid Camp, students embark on journeys to nearby medieval cities with strong Roman, Jewish-Christian, and Muslim influences. They will discover the world’s fifth oldest university in Salamanca, the Roman aqueduct of Segovia, get to know their host city Madrid in depth, and much, much more.
